Premier Workshop: Empowering Newly Registered Voters
Our premier workshop is dedicated to empowering newly registered voters. In this comprehensive one-hour session, we’ll start by exploring the role of various levels of government—federal, state, county, and local—so you can understand who’s responsible for what. From there, we’ll dive into the specific races, initiatives, referendums, and amendments that may appear on your ballot.
What You’ll Learn:
- The role of different levels of government and how they impact your life
- How to research candidates and identify non-partisan sources of information
- Understanding ballot measures, including initiatives, referendums, and amendments
- Finding your polling place and understanding alternative voting mechanisms
- What to expect on election day, so you can approach the voting process with confidence
